| SPRING RUSH GOOD NEWS FOR HOMEOWNERS |
| |
If you want to sell your home in 2010, now is the time to get your property on the market according to estate agency group Sequence. According to Sequence, the spring period, especially around Easter weekend, is one of the busiest times of the year for buying and selling property. As people shake off the cobwebs of winter and the weather gets warmer, potential buyers will be out in force looking for a new home.
“Spring is a great time to sell,” says Simon Cross, Divisional Managing Director for Sequence. “Not only will properties look nicer in better weather but increased appetite to move during the spring period means sellers will have more prospective buyers competing to buy their home making it more likely you will achieve offers closer to the asking price.
“We almost always see a rush of buyers entering the market in springtime,” Simon continues. “It seems that many feel inspired by the warmer weather and longer days to start making plans for the future, including looking for a new home.”
Sequence national estate agency network has seen a marked increase in the level of buyer interest in 2010. Figures so far this year indicate strong demand from home buyers and fully anticipate this will translate into a bumper spring with increased numbers looking to buy before, during and after the Easter weekend.
