stamp duty holiday England

If you’re buying a home in England you will now pay a reduced rate of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) until 31st March 2021. You will pay no Stamp Duty if the amount you pay for your main home is under £500,000. 
If you’re purchasing additional properties you will still have to pay an extra 3% in Stamp Duty on top of the revised rates for each band.

land & building transaction tax in Scotland
If you’re buying a home in Scotland you will pay a reduced rate of Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (LBTT) until 31st March 2021. If you’re buying your main home, you will pay no LBTT on purchases under £250,000. If you’re buying an additional property you will have to pay an extra 4% in on the total purchase price of the property, as well as the standard rates of LBTT that may apply.

If you’re buying a home in Wales you will now pay a reduced rate of Land Transaction Tax (LTT) until 31 March 2021. If you’re buying your main home, you will pay no LTT on purchases under £250,000. If you’re buying an additional property, you will need to pay the higher residential rates for each band.
